Micah Hobbs is a local man from the Northside of Pittsburgh, PA. Growing up, Micah had a troubled youth. His family moved to Los Angeles, CA where he became intrigued by the gang life. By the age of 13 he was starting to become a gang banger. Micah’s mother could see that his life was on a downward spiral, so she sent him to Pittsburgh to live with his grandparents.
The move to Pittsburgh did not instantly change Micah’s life. He continued to struggle with run-ins with the law and making poor life choices. On July 4, 1994, Micah decided to accept The Lord Jesus Christ into this life. Since 1994, Micah’s life has completely changed.
In 2008, he married the love of his life, Lisa Hobbs and started his career in construction. Micah was living his dream until a life-threatening incident at work turned his dream into a nightmare on Good Friday, April 6, 2012. The day started out as any other day; Micah was working with his apprentice on a site in McKeesport. They were moving panels into place for a job when a twenty-foot-high and ten-foot-wide panel weighing a little over 4,000 pounds (which is just over two tons) landed on Micah. His life, in those moments, was over.
Join us for Micah’s complete story about how the healing power of Jesus Christ is still manifested on earth today.
